Way to start the season off with a bang. Opening day win away at Arsenal was surely not the script most had written down and not only that it seemed as if all newcomers played a big part of that victory. Slaven Bilic has done a bang up job of enticing quality players to the Boleyn Ground. Dimitri Payet has slotted into the squad and has performed admirable thus far. Ex Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna has solidified the defence. All in all an excellent transfer window for the Hammers.
West Ham did follow up that lovely away victory with consecutive losses to Leicester and Bournemouth which was truly a surprise seeing just how well they played versus Arsenal. However, a proper smashing of Liverpool 3-0 again away from home showed they have what it takes to challenge the top teams, they need only figure out how to dominate the lesser teams and we have a really interesting team here.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Hammers hand Manchester City their first loss on Sept.19th
Look for them to either pick up the pace or fall apart really.
Prediction : Safe – 11th
