Sunderland A.F.C

After narrowly escaping last years premiere league, most fans at the stadium of light were hoping for a better start. Coach Dick Advocaat postponed his retirement by another season hoping to lead the black cats to a possible top 10 finish. After a rather bizarre transfer window the Cats have managed to obtain some fresh and interesting talent while also losing out on some of their most crucial pieces. Young striker Connor Wickham has left, only to join rivals Palace. They have managed to bring in long time target Fabio Borini in the hopes he can work well with Jermain Dafoe up front. However losing a centre piece in Emanuele Giaccherini on loan to Bologna for the season won’t help. If things don’t shape up quickly this season could have a similar outcome to last, with an even worse outcome.

Look for Dick Advocaat to hit retirement a little early, if form doesn’t shape up in the next few weeks i could see him on a beach somewhere by late October early November.

Projection : Relegated – 19th
